Charles A. Wilcox Sr. 83 yrs. old of Sherburne, NY passed away on September 19, 2016 in Cooperstown, NY.
Charles was born on April 11, 1933 the son of Clifford & Claudine (Winton) Wilcox. His childhood was spent in the Columbus and Sherburne, NY areas.
He served in the US Army, was employed by Hubbel, and later worked as a self-employed truck driver. He loved to go hunting and play golf.
Charles is survived by his children; Charles Jr. & Susan Wilcox of Bridgewater, NY; Deborah & Michael Bush of Sherburne, NY, Mark Wilcox of Pompey, NY, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren as well as brothers and sisters; Marie Dyer of Rome, Joyce Mettler of Sherburne, Jane Mondore of Fayetteville, NC, Janice Flessa of Rochester, Joan Knickerbocker of Fayetteville, NC and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by one son; Daryl Wilcox in 1984.

He was predeceased by one son; Daryl Wilcox in 1984. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP with Reverend Stephen Reese officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:00-2:00 PM also at the funeral home. The interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Sherburne American Legion.
