SHERBURNE: Joyce A. Mettler, 71, of Classic St., passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at her home.
 She was born June 4, 1945 in the Town of Columbus, a daughter of Clifford and Claudine Winton Wilcox. She was married to William “Bill” Mettler, Sr. Joyce worked in Sherburne at Standard Brands, and then at Kenyon Press until retiring. Her priority and greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, and she was the #1 fan at her grandson’s derby races. Joyce enjoyed the outdoors, working in her flower beds and having cookouts. She also loved her canine companion, Peanut, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
 Surviving are her children, William “Bill”, Jr. and Beth Mettler of Morrisville; Kenneth Mettler of Walton; Donald Mettler of Sherburne; Teresa Trask of North Norwich; Vicki and Ken Munyan of Norwich; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Fred Dyer, Janice and Don Flessa, Joan and Tom Knickerbocker, Jane and Dave Mondore; sisters-in-law, Marie Wilcox and Patricia Wilcox; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nepehws. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charlie, Clifford “Butch”, Claude and Albert Wilcox; and a sister, Beverly Wilcox.
